The most hated thing in the mornining is to get up every morning and do that stupid pledge day after day. This gets real old very quick. Anyone else ever feel or felt the same way

Wait a few years...you'll be getting up earlier, coming home later, and won't have summers off.
Enjoy your school time now...make the most of it.

If that's the worst thing in your life in the mornings, you're doing better than a lot of other people in the world. Tough it out, things could be much worse for you.

I agree with ndub. Also, I wouldn't refer to the pledge as stupid. There's a very strong meaning behind it.
This is a pretty good break down of the pledge.

You know what, if you don't like saying the Pledge of Allegiance, then please feel free to leave our country and find a new one. We don't need people like you here.

No, the most hated thing in the morning is the a-hat that cuts you off in traffic 3 times in a row, and when you are finally able to pass the cretin, you see that he's been on the phone the whole time. And you smolder...
I'd much, much rather say the pledge. Any pledge, really.

Stand up, hand over heart and say it with pride. You could have it a whole lot worse. Don't believe me? Just read the paper every day. Local, national and international sections. Guarantee you that there are others who would love to trade places with you.

My most cherished thing would be to wake up one morning and discover that your ungrateful butt is standing next to me grumbling about reciting the pledge while my tax dollars pay for your free education.
Pull up your big boy panties and appreciate the nation you have been given.

Thanks for all of the encouraging words? I don't have most of the problems you all have because I'm still young I guess. You can say things like I hate this country. Or you pay your taxes for me to go to school. But in the do you really think I want to hurt any of you. I just don't like doing certain things in the morning. So will you hate me for that? Well if you do then keep feeling that way. Because we all have things that we don't enjoy.

You just might want to be a little more considerate next time, and think before posting something so disrespectful to the majority of the members here.... k?

Indeed, that's a golden tip most school-going youth so take in mind. School sucks as long as you go there and it's awesome they day you start working.

I don't hate you, but I think you really need to evaluate yourself and watch what you say. There are many people on this forum, myself included, that are fighting wars right now to ensure that you have the PRIVILEGE of living, going to school in, and pledging allegiance to this country. Further, saying the Pledge shouldn't be a "problem" for anyone who loves this country. Saying the Pledge or singing the National Anthem should invigorate you and give you a sense of pride.

Wizood, there's nothing wrong with expressing your feelings.
I could tell from your post that you probably are much younger than most of us, and obviously still in school, and there's nothing wrong with that (welcome to the forum, by the way).
If I came on here and posted "Boy, do I hate going to work today", I'm sure I'd be flamed by people here because I have a job, and some of them don't. Well, you know what, they can get over it, because while I am thankful for my job, my family and my health, I am also damn entitled to say, at times, that I hate getting up and going to work.
It doesn't mean I hate my job, or I don't appreciate having it.
If someone doesn't like me (or you) expressing an opinion (even fleeting) then they are welcome to not read my posts. Oh, too late.

Hey, I understand. I've raised a teenager (or least think I did).
Did anyone say they "hated" you (that was your word, not mine). I guess that's your issue, then, if you think people are hating you. I don't hate you, I disagree with you. It's not the same thing.
And, yes you do have right to an opinion--so do I have a right to my opinion. When did you get a right to limit my freedom of speech?
You post yours, I post mine. it's called a discussion--not hate.
