One of our 7520 users just pointed out the same thing to me. I can't find any setting that will enable this feature. Looks like "Call from Address Book" is the only option.

Phone > Options > General Options > Dial from Home Screen (should be "YES")

Is this what your trying to do?

No, that hasn't changed. What we are talking about is accessing the address book directly from the phone call screen by just typing a letter. I tried this on one of the 7520s that I have not yet upgraded to 4.1 and it still works.

The only thing I really have a problem with and was hoping once Nextel did the upgrade was to get LOUDER ringtones...I dont need mp3s or anything like that but just want them louder.

My main ringtone changed suddenly, it now sounds like an i60c for one ring and then changed back to the regular ring.

I'm set at
Tone
Tune Ring 6
Volume High
Number of beeps 3
Repeat none

And it didn't start the first day, just suddenly a few days later.

The only thing I could think of is I recently called Nextel asking them increase my ring time before going to Voicemail. Maybe that was it. I don't know.
For both In and Out of holster

Sorry to waste anyones time but it was my friggin fire wall keeping the install from working properly. I tried it on another machine and firmware installed first time.

Disable your firewall when installing people....duh I should have known that......

Default No Internet

OK, any hints on getting internet connection back? Do I need to contact Nextel/Sprint?

Does the password safe have an app on the computer you sync with to make changes so you don't have to use the keyboard on the BB?

Thanks everyone in advance.

1.I assume you are not on a BES, if not then you need to resend your BIS service books.

2. not that i am aware of

The password safe does not have a computer app that syncs with the BB. If you are looking for such an app, I personally use and recommend MiniSafe from simprit. There is also another one on the market called CryptMagic . There may be others as well.

Here's the deal. You have to go to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table click again and click Register Now. This will resend the wireless web service book. Just a little heads up in case anyone else is having this problem.
