I'm trying to install BES 502 SP2 MR2 or MR3 over Domino and abort with the following error:
[CMSIWrapper::Install]: Unknown error launching package [1603]
I found the Article ID KB26117 in the BB Knowledge db, but the workaround is uninstall, delete files in %TEMP% folder, reinstall and reapply MR3.
As I have installed HA, I deleted files in %TEMP% folder before apply the MR in the other server, but didn't work.
I don't understand what adds uninstalling and reinstalling.
Are there other workaround to solve this ?

Re: Error 1603 installing besn502mr3 for Domino
Are you using the BESAdmin accoount that you have used to installed SP2? Were there any changes to this account e.g. It is applied with a Software Restriction Policy in Windows? Is it a Administrator account with local admin rights granted? Troubleshoot along this direction. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile

Re: Error 1603 installing besn502mr3 for Domino
Also, I have encountered the same error if your BES server's java update is installed and java 1.6 update 18 is uninstalled, the Maintenance Release setup will give an error 1603 and fail.
yes, I'm using the besadmin account. it doens't has changes and it is a local admin.
Is installed java 1.6 update 18, but the workaround refers to upgrade to SP3. I'm in one step before. I want to install mr2 or mr3 . I don't know if this note apply too.
