Default question about updating OS

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased an 8320 from Tmobile and I was wondering if I update to the current beta OS will the phone service still work or do I have to reinstall any files to make the phone service work? That is, as soon as I install the beta OS will I automatically be able to make and receive calls or text messages across the Tmobile network without installing any service packs or anything like that.

You can update. Everything will be backed up and restored.

If this is your first BlackBerry, you may want to use it for a while before updating to a Beta. Many of the betas out there (OK, ALL of the betas out there) have bugs of varying severity.

Yes, I am aware of the numerous bugs -- I use Vista so bugs are something I've learned to live with and I doubt one of the more stable beta releases has as many bugs as Vista SP1. Plus, I am actually updating for software related issues, not just to be on the bleeding edge.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I thought the 8320 in particular was having issues with 4.5 to a much bigger extent than 8300 and 8310. I think I saw this info listed in one of the commercial publications.
