Default Curve doesn't like Li optical mouse?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a fairly new (maybe a month or so) Curve and a rechargeable lithium ion optical mouse, both running through USB 2.0 hub. It appears that the curve does not care much for the mouse or vice versa. At times, the mouse behaves like it is possessed by something other than my hand. I have looked for obvious hardware conflicts but nothing comes up. Any suggestions?

I think he mens that when they're plugged into the USB hub together, they act funny on his computer. Not a mouse on a blackberry.

Is the USB hub externally powered?

I would suggest that the hub is the culprit

Yep, mouse receiver and BB sync cable plugged into same hub. No room in the native ports on desktop. Hub is powered separately but may be getting a little aged now that I think of it.

BTW, Kris = she ...

Well after digging around in my nicely organized cords, I found that I had actually plugged the mouse receiver directly into the back of the CPU and not into the hub. The BB sync cord is plugged into the hub. I'm starting to suspect that the lithium battery on the mouse may be reaching the end of its little life. Going to try charging it nightly and see if the alleviates the wonkiness.

And the plot thickens. So the set-up is:

Lithium ion mouse receiver is plugged directly into CPU. BB sync cable plugged into externally powered USB 2.0 hub. Mr. Mouse was charged completely overnight and worked beautifully first thing this morning UNTIL I plugged in Ms. BB. Mr. Mouse then became very erratic in his behavior but it seemed to be limited to the time period when Ms. BB was actually syncing. Ms. BB is still plugged in but resting quietly and Mr. Mouse appears happy as well at the moment.
