To Sprint Users: Have you used Voice Command w/ BB?
Please Login to Remove!
With the absence of true voice dialing, Sprint offers something called voice command where you can voice dial and save and import addresses via a web interface.
Has anyone used this with their BB? Does it work well? Is it an acceptable substitute for true voice dialing? I've used it on regular sprint phones in the past and it was ok, not fabulous but ok.

He is now.
The number of sprint cdma users here is very low since sprint doesn't seem to like to sell Blackberries to mere mortals. Therefore I see some clarification on it to be appropriate.
Maybe Verizon has something similar and one of the VZW users might know.

The question was meant for Sprint/Sprint users as opposed to Nextel/Sprint customers. Nextel has something similar called mynextel for 5 bucks a month but im not sure if the company has suceeded in fully integrating the networks yet, so a nextel perspective may not be too helpful to me. Thanks anyway.
Again, if Verizon had something similar, it too wouldnt be the same as the sprint feature on the sprint device on the sprint network but thanks for offering the idea. Since there arent many sprint 7250 users yet, i'll take that to mean the answer to the question posed in the thread's title is no.
I will wait until Sprint catches up.
Peace

They already have 2 models of blackberries out. Besides, nextel brings the business base, sprint already has the huge consumer base, it makes sense for them to do it themselves. If i wanted a 7520, i leave "sprint" in a sense and become a new nextel customer.. i learned this tonight after spending an hour in the sprint pcs store. there are some cool plans i lose access to by leaving sprint so im sure many others would hesitate too.

no you dont have to leave sprint and become a new nextel customer I am a nextel customer and i signed my wife and daughter up with a sprint phone and I didnt have to establish a new account they are filling you full of crap. They are one company!
There blackberrys are for the corporate users but with nextel anyone can get one. I have several of the sprint features on my 7520 now so i dont know who was telling you all that junk ut they are lieing to you.

I knew it sounded suspicious. I have a business account with them so they told me i am eligible to buy it they just dont have any in stock (anywhere in my city). I am on hold with customer assistance now. I intend to ask them the same question to see what answer i get now.

They just told me the same thing. That Sprint numbers arent compatible with Nextel device without closing one account and opening another. Still sounds suspect but this is 2 different sprint sources telling me this.
Any way, she just told me that she will ship me one and bill it to my account, so hopefully i will have it in the next 3-5 days. Woohoo! I cant wait.

You can add mobile to mobile and that will work with sprint and nextel phones.... whwn you go to a sprint store you can get sprint or nextel phones..... they are the same company... all it is is that nextel phones will stay on Iden.

The issue isnt mobile to mobile calling. I am giving you what a rep at a sprint store and customer cares department on the phone is telling me. If they dont know, who does? Besides, they are in control, I cant make them set me up on a nextel 7520 without leaving my current sprint account (that ive had for 5 yrs). In a sense, they have the power, all i can do is cancel (which i dont want to d0)

My point being that you can switch all you want between the two companyphones on the same acct... All phones are now sprint... and all nextel accts are sprint they just have two diffrent phone technology's that cant be combined at this time... but it is all the same company now!

Apparently, this is not the case yet (as per Sprint themselves). One would assume this would be possible but as of yesterday I was told (twice) that although they are technically one company, what you described isnt so. Go figure.
