This happened to me multiple times last night. I uninstall the BB App World application, then reinstalled. It is working now.

Well all I get is an error - "There was a problem reading data from the server and App World must exit. Error type: 100002". That's via EDGE or WiFi. On T-Mobile and a BES with browsing via BES restricted.

I will "third" this comment. Deleted the file. Everything is still being pushed to my handheld via the BES and AppWorld now works fine.

I was not able to download version 1.0.0.26, was giving "requirement does not meet" error. Today I was able to download version 1.0.0.27 but not able to start the programme. When I try to start it it gives the following error:

"Error starting nrt_rim_bb_appworld;Module 'net_rim_bb_appworld' does not match codfile timestamp of sibling module "net_rim_bb_appworld-7"

What is this?

I tried to buy my first app tonight (Forward with Edit). Went to the Paypal payment page, and the order timed out. Sent an email to the developer and he said it wasnt on his end.
I hope this isnt a sign to come. I was really looking forward to using it. Hope this was an anomoly.

I downloaded right away yesterday and have been playing around with it. Downloaded Vlingo to try and didn't like it. It didn't do a very good job recognizing my voice. LOTS of mistakes. Guess I need to take speech class.

Downloaded Shazam for the free trial period. I really like that. My girlfriend has an LG Voyager and we are always playing around with VCAST Song ID just for fun. It is a cool app. I just wish I would stay free.

No issues with the App world itself. Downloaded great. Works great. Only thing I would say is that the icon pics downloaded pretty slowly, but that could be from traffic or just a slow day for data in general.

Default Error code 11000

Does anyone have an idea what 11000 error code is for? I keep getting it before I buy one of the applications.

Default anybody else?

I am having a problem now moving the "icon" for the app. After using the app, the only way for me to move the icon is to pull the battery. Then I can get the BB button to work until I launch the app again. Anybody else notice this? Thoughts?

Smile New Blackberry Apps Store - LOVE IT!

I just had to throw a shout out for the new blackberry apps store. About damn time!!! I pickedup the following apps and think that so far they are great:

GPS Tracker - tracks your phone in case you lose it
Level - as the name implies...it is a level for checking how flat a surface is
Where - awesome if you are on the road and looking for a place to eat or a starbucks or gas or whatever
Wall Street Journal - great news
Trapster - speed trap finder when you are on the road...works over bluetooth
(NOTE** - one downside here is that if you are listening to music, it stops the player in order to tell you about the speed trap)
Slacker - online radio like Pandora or Link.fm or any of those music stations that you define
Calorie Counter - great way to figure out calories...doesn't count your day for you, but searches for the calories.

Anyway...these were all free with the exception of one of them which was $2.99.

Enjoy!

I consistently recieve the error "failed to transmit". I'm on the latest OS .199 on a BB 8900 - TMO USA with BES. I've deleted and reinstalled several times, no luck. Any ideas?

I had the same exactly problem!!!

Unable to move the icon, I was praying it wasn't gonna be stuck with that.

Luckily a restart or battery pull and I was able to move it. Strange?

I'm on the 8900 though.

sjlsystem - Have you removed this file from your service books? If you are on a BES, it appears this "book" needs removed before you can connect. I can attest that I am still receiving e-mail, contact and calendar updates,, etc. after removing and I am now able to access AppWorld.

Good Luck

Thanks a bunch! that worked. FYI this is what this service book does "Desktop [IPPP] or BlackBerry [IPPP]* Contains information that is required to use and browse the Internet using the BlackBerry® Mobile Data System (BlackBerry MDS). ". Since I don't use the Blackberry MDS Browser in BES, this is no problem for me......
