Question Bluetooth Headset Recommendation

Please Login to Remove!

Can someone please recommend me a good bluetooth headset for my 8830 (Sprint). I've never used a bluetooth headset before but I've noticed that most of the models are somewhat bulky. Are there any headsets that are not bulky still producing good sound quality? Please enlighten me!

I use a Samsung WEP200. I am very pleased with the performance and sound quality. Plus it is ultra light and not very big. I also like that it fits in my ear which makes it easy with sunglasses.

I have a Plantronics 655. This is the model that RIM offers as OEM. It's the smallest BT headset I've seen, it doesn't fall out of my ear, it has good sound quality, and it comes with a little pen-like housing that has a mini-USB charger port, so you can charge it from the same connection that you use for your Blackberry.

I use the Jabra 8010z, great headset. It does BT stereo, has great battery life, and does a good job of filtering out background noise.

I use the Motorola S9 stereo headset. Light, good controls and interfaces with the phone. When a call comes in, it pauses the music and you can answer the phone with one touch of a button. Hidden mic in the left earbud works very well.

I currently have the Plantronics 510, but haven't used it on this phone.

The 510 is... ok... I use it in an emergency. I had a bad Jabra 8010. Seems it was bad for stereo right out of the box. Jabra replaced it for me. I now can listen to stereo music on my 8820 and the quality is very good. I saw Fry's had these on sale last week for $59.95 in-store.

Q for those in the know... Plantronics released a model HS-665 to replace the 655. The 655 was the one that RIM somehow "optimized" for Blackberry (something about removing a delay in the answering?) . Anyway, the new 665 supposedly some better noise canceling and so forth. The question is what's so great about RIM's optimized version of the 655 that would be lost in Plantronic's replacement?

I just got my new Sprint Bluetooth headset for $9.95 (Little bit unbelieable at this cost). I though alot of us would be interested at this price. I got from Fommy.com. Its working good.

I just returned my Jawbone and got a Blueant Z9 instead. The sound quality of the Jawbone was excellent....however the problem I have with the headset is that the way the Jawbone is designed to press the headset against your cheek (the ear hook is spring loaded to "twist" it towards your head), it keeps pulling the headset out of my ear with it ending up just dangling on my ear by the earhook. I tried all of the other included earpieces and none were really much better. I couldn't keep it in my ear for more than a couple of minutes at a time before I had to push it back in.
