Default Custom Mp3 Ringtone requests?

Please Login to Remove!

I've posted this in the ringtone area, but I know not everyone ventures over there so I'll post here as well if it is ok.

I've been spittin some ringtones out for my personal 8700c and wouldnt be opposed to taking a few requests. PM (dont pin) if you've got a selection. I may need you to email an MP3 of the song If I do not currently have it. Of course I would delete it as soon as I finished creating your ringtone. I wish I could help out the 7100 users, but I'm currently set up to only do MP3 ring tones for the BB's that allow that format. If I could find some better step-by-step for the 7100- non Mp3 ring tone comapitable phones I'd be willing to help some of you guys out as well. I can currently do about 2 tones a night (about what I have free time for) so 10 requests a week. PM me if you are interested.

Cool, thanks for the offer! I'm eagerly awaiting my 8700 so I might have to think of a ringtone I want to have ready.

MP3 as a complete song, like an MP3 player? No. MP3-based ringtones? Yes. You post them to a website and browse to it. Search for more info/details.

Well, as long as I don't have 30 other things going on at once, I can pretty much crank them in out in a matter a few minutes. It just all depends on what is going on. At night is when I typcially make mine. The hardes/longest part is finding the right parts of songs to use. The rest is as pie.

I've had two requests so far. I have only been able to entertain one, the other cannot locate an MP3 for me to create the ringtone from. I will be unavailable for a week starting friday (PM, you might get lucky) so I'll open myself for 2 or 3 before friday morning.

Cool slam man, glad it sounds good. I've got my schools fight song on there and was having lunch in the UC the other day and the President of the school walked by just as my phone started to ring. He took out his Blackberry 8700c and wanted to know how he could that on his. LOL.

Someone should create a site with a lot of mp3 ringers playable on the 8700. There was a few available for the 7100 series and those were great.

I have one as well, just my personal selection though. Mostly Hip-Hop, Rap and some funny quotes..

Maybe you might find a song, selection or wallpaper you may like.
http://freeblackberrywallpapers.com/mp3ringtones.htm
Its' only designed for using on your 8700 though so it looks a bit funny on your regular browser.

Hope you enjoy my selection of mp3's, ringtones, sound clips, comics and funny stories :P

I too can provide you guys with .mp3 ring tones - just hit me at [email address]

OR if you wanna do it yourself (EXTREMELY easy - and fast!) - just stroll over to www.download.com, download a free program named AUDACITY - and have at it. Very simple .mp3 editing tool.

Be easy.

I have a 8700c and I love it. I am looking for a few ringtones, that are suited for a professional enviornment. If you currently have something in mind that would be great.

I prefer EAC ripping to WAV and then converting the file using LAME 3.97b2 at --alt-preset extreme. Trim using mp3DirectCut (Audacity re-encodes the file during the trimming process) and set gain to 105dB (more or less). Done.
