Default Question for ALL mac users

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I am buying a laptop this weekend and I am deciding between 2, the macbook and the sony vaio. I was really set on the macbook but I saw all of these problems with syncing and stuff. Please let me know what you think. Also is there a big difference between windows and apple? (I have used windows all of my life). Please list some problems you have had. Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Can't speak on syncing issues with a Mac, but there are very big differences between windows and Mac's.

Can you please explain them to me? The stupid people at comp usa said they were almost the same.

it depends, do you want a mac b/c they look cool and you want to run windows on it? or are you going to run os x? I've used both for years, and I think that os x is better, but not for gaming. what do you do on the computer? you gotta give us some more info here.

I have no problems syncing my 7130 to my PowerPC Powerbook....it works great. i have friends who have Intel macs and have no problems as well.....

Well of course I like the looks of it, and I like the little camera you can take pictures with effect on it for, I didn't even know it could run windows. How could you run windows on it?

I would suggest going to Apple's site and reading up. Also, the guys at CompUSA should know the differences. there is too much info here to type up.

you can run windows on an intel mac. but really, os x is the real beauty of buying an apple.

Get the Mac Book. If you have a need for Windows you have the ability to duel boot Windows and Mac OS X using Boot Camp or you can buy a program named Parallels that will let you run Windows as a virtual machine inside the Mac OS.

The Mac has far fewer security issues currently and the thing is just easier to get components to work. The mac is also far more stable. I have not had to rebuild my Mac (PowerBook G4) in a year where as my Windows boxes get a fresh image ever 2 months to keep things working snappy. I always tell people that I work in a Windows world but I live in a Mac world.

GO with the MACBOOK. i've used both windoze and mac for a long time..and i've got to say that mac os x is far beyond anything microsoft will do..windows vista (the new OS coming out) is basically a ripoff of os x 10.4. not to mention, macs are SO much more stable, just as compatible with pcs now, and great for college use (my powerbook and bb keep my life together at college). i've had friends who've had the VAIO, and they all seem to crash or go bad or get viruses or something...they've all (3 of them) switched to macbooks..

i'm quite the apple elitist...but IMHO macs are years ahead of anything PCs will put out there..
