Just drop my Bold on the ground while standing on a tall latter trying to paint the ceiling. I was trying to check my messages and it slip and it fell hard to the ground. Not sure what to do now but get a new Blackberry. Crap.. Anyone got a bad experience with drops?

It happens. But you sure? If you remove the SIM and microSD, will it boot up? If so, replace SIM and test, and then the card, and test.

Also, ensure that the battery contacts still touch the battery. Strange things like this can sometimes happen after drops.

Next time leave your BB on the ground while your on a ladder, or next time your BB might not be the only thing on the ground....just saying.

I feel for you. I'm horrible with phones. I think most here remember what happened to my first 8520.

I swore I'd be careful after that first incident, and today while getting out of a cab, I put my hand in my pocket to hold my BlackBerry so it wouldn't fall, and it was already on it's way to the ground. It fell and landed right next to a puddle! I need to get a rope for this thing, or some glue to stick it to my hand, I lucked out this time.
