I have a T-Mobile Pearl that is unlocked and in use on Cingular. We run BES 4.0.0.110 with basically all the default settings.

What do I need to do to enable me to send MMS messages with pictures from the builtin camera? When I take a picture now, and tell it to email that to anyone it results in the dreaded red 'x' and does not send saying "Failed to send message". I'm pretty sure my data plans are right as I've called and asked about it before, and can use a Windows Mobile device to send MMS messages.

Can anyone help?

Either you BES setting does not permit it or you're in a bad signal area most likely.

It's not the signal; it happens anywhere I try it. Where do I check to see if BES is blocking it? I can make changes, but I don't deal with BES very much.

Check with whoever runs the IT Dept in your company. They can tell you the deal.

I have the same issue, though I'm not on BES, I'm on BIS. Additionally, I cannot seem to receive any MMS's either ... it always fails to download. Signal is not the issue, as I've done lots of downloading in the same places, just MMS not working.

Here's an interesting twist. I attempted the upgrade to the newest Cingular ROM yesterday. During the upgrade the USB cable got bumped, and I almost bricked my Pearl. It required me to wipe the phone and start over to get it back. Now that I've done that, my MMS messages are suddenly working.

Strange, eh?

I am having the same problem sending a reciveing mms messages. I get the "red X" i have this 8100 bb on cingular bis and mms is enabled. Any suggestions on how to fix.

u need to go to the tcp settings options>advanced options then tcp. make sure your tcp is correct. i use to have to apn= wap.cingular apn user= [email address]

password= CINGULAR1. but mines says internet.com for apn and no user or pass. i think maybe it changed since at&t took over. make sure u go to host routing table and reregister your service books. i also have a tmobile unlocked pearl on cingular network.
