Default 8320 & what data plan?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi - hoping someone can offer some advice ... I fancied a new phone so bought a Blackberry Curve 8320 - not knowing a great deal about mobiles to be honest. I've had a works mobile phone for years so just couldn't see the point in buying one, anyway.

So got a brand new 8320 which I've subsequently got unlocked but I don't have a mobile contract or data plan at present - just using my work sim.

So considering I make about a dozen calls a week and send about 6 SMS messages I'm a light user to say the least. I do have about 3 email accounts I would like visibilty of and be able to make use of Blackberry maps / messenger etc.

So my question is, is there a suitable mobile / data plan for me? They all seem quite expensive and more suited to business users.

Thanks - J.

Does T-Mobile have a 10 MB plan in UK.

You don't need a data plan for phone and SMS.

E-Mail, messenger and maps - yes

If that is what you want, then a data plan is what you need.

Welcome BTW

Hi

As you have a BB then you could go with a sim only deal and add a blackberry tariff to it. For example on o2 you could get a simplicity sim for £15 per month (min 1 month contract) this gives 200mins & 200 texts per month & to this you could add the blackberry bolt on for £10 (min lenght is 6 months) . Total = £25 per month.
If you need more mins/texts the next simplicity sim is £25 for 600 mins & 500 texts with possibly a promotion of unlimited texts.
The other networks have sim only deals too so it is worth checking them all out to see which package suits you best.
