well, my torch is from AT&T and unlocked. I know AT&T blocked the Blackberry map. now I loaded the newest OS from Telus, but the blackberry map icon still not come out. why? did telus block the map too? or should I load the rogers one?

Doesn't help. The executables for the different vendors are the same. If they don't want it, they can block it. I have a torch from ATT, but use it with provider Swisscom. The map application is there and works.

I think Telus didn't block it coz my other friends have the map on their torchs. my question is how can I make the phone exactly the same as telus one? I loaded Telus OS, but it seems still different from the ones sold from telus, how can that be? the hardware is the same, now the OS is the same, why different?

You can't. The software checks for the phone vendor and will setup your device accordingly (ATT splash screen etc.). It doesn't matter which vendor your download the software from.
