Default 8310 - Factory reset

Please Login to Remove!

I want to delete all information on my 8310 device (I call this HARD RESET) and restore the devise to the facrory default (wype all data), I can't find the way to obtain it, I don't find this procedure on the Operation Guide. On the knowledgebase the "hard reset" operation consists on to dismount battery e remount it, but this is only a "soft reset" infact after this all data (calendar, contacts etc.) are not deleted from memory. Anyone knows how can I restore the device to factory defaults ?

To delete all user information go to:
Options > Security Options > General Settings > press Menu key > Wipe Handheld.

If you go to Settings>Options>Security Options>General Settings and then press the menu button to the left of the trackball, you should see Wipe Handheld as an option in the menu. This will wipe all data from the handheld and will, for the most part, restore the handheld to the factory settings. If you are/were set up on a BES, it won't remove the IT Policy.

I noticed that this does not remove your email accounts because I still receive my emails this way. How do you delete you email-account?

Hi there.

I was wondering if someone can help me?

I got my BB 8310 from my company. The BB was setup with Outlook/Exchange e-mail account.

One morning I woke up and I was getting error: Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

Everything started to go wrong, I couldn't make phones calls or check email, BB wouldn't ring etc...

I did contact IT Dept and waited for three days, but no reply... (yeah I know, they suck)

I figured out that I have nothing to lose, so I performed 'Wipe Handheld'

Doing this, it looks like it got rid of my email and everything else

Can I get it to be same as before?

I hope you can help me.

Thanks

You will need to contact your BES administrator and be reactivated on the server. There is nothing else you can do.
