everyone has already mentioned how great bbm is. i truly love it, i pretty much only use bbm to talk to my friends and family. its the best thing next to twilight and chocolate!
the google talk shouldn't be monitored because it's using the data connection? right? or am i completely wrong about that?
also, i use the BB messenger to talk to friends of mine that are other BB users and because i cannot turn off the process without completely uninstalling it, i've just left it for now...
i'd like to have it available, but in a form that would not always be running and hogging CPU and memory resources...
BB messenger does not limit your message to a certain amount of letters and you can also instantly send pictures to each other, and invite and have more that one person in your conversation. i don't know anyone's email address do i don't IM them but everyone i know owns a blackberry. i love this application.

I love bb messenger too. I have a question. I have Verizon, which requires internet access, and my friend has t-mo and does not have the internet. Can we still communicate via bb messenger?
You both need to have a BB data plan in order to use BBM.

Yes it is instant messaging between BB users. I use it. It's quick, and reliable, you can transfer files over it. It uses data, so no other fees, also no international fees as you can talk to anyone around the world with a BB. Cheaper than SMS that way, as well as no 160 character limit.

I just starting using it - In another forum C B I read BBM for beginners. Also, agree with all above. IM, a conversation instead of email back and forth - yes it's cool.

Yeah, BBM is one of the features I use everyday. My wife has a Storm also and we use it to stay in touch throughout the day. It's the whole reason she has a BB since she doesn't understand anything else about it... even after repeated attempts to explain it to her... lol
