Default blackberry 8520 freezes on startup

hi i have blackberry 8520 which starts to blackberry logo and is loading but its loads only about 2/3 and then stops and is not doing anything can you help me what i can do or can i reflash my blackberry?
I dont know anything about blackberry phones.
