Default 8530-Enterprise Messenger-Where is it??

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded Enterprise Messenger 2.1.10 and I cant find the application/icon anywhere to actually launch it. No, its not under application center, Applications, Downloads, Instant Messenging or desktop. I can confirm its been loaded because if I try again it says its there. I can find it under Options>Applications>Add-on dropdown, but there is no option that I can select to do anything to run it, only edit permissions/view properties.
Do i need to download a different version
Blackberry Software version is v5.0.0.508 Platform 4.2.0.230

Yes, your version is incompatible, and somewhat old.
I recommend you installing the latest version, 2.5.20 which should be compatible with OS 5 on the handheld.

How did you get 2.1 in the first place?

You should contact your IT department and ask them to push 2.5 to you.

Gee, I work for a multibillion dollar, multinational corporation.
Had 2.5 up in a matter of days.

Find the right person.

You were right. Without calling the help desk i found an internal posting with the link.
we have 2.5.16 and it worked swimingly!
Thanks for putting up with me.
...Still think there should be a public non-configured version readily available

There is. And it's very easy to find.
You just need to do the work, and not expect to be spoonfed every detail.
