Default CalHelper.exe

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have the following behaviour being experienced randomly by our user base. Calendar entries when created on BB will not appear on Outlook client but when created on Outlook client will appear on BB. Also mail when deleted on handheld will not be deleted in inbox/exchange server. (They do have the delete on mailbox and handheld option enabled)

Furthermore on my BES server I have noticed that CALHELPER.exe is crashing every 5-6 minutes with the following Warning/Error message. (Calhelper is responsible for channelling calls to cdo.dll for calendar entries and writing to log files?)

Warning message:
“Reporting queued error: faulting application CalHelper.exe, version 4.0.5.11, faulting module CalHelper.exe, version 4.0.5.11, fault address 0x000740a0.”

Error message:
“Faulting application CalHelper.exe, version 4.0.5.11, faulting module CalHelper.exe, version 4.0.5.11, fault address 0x000740a0.”

Troubleshooting;

Re-registered the CDO.dll
Checked the CDO.dll version across all exchange servers
Rebooted the BES server as the last resort

I’m still experiencing the same issues.

CDO.dll version: 6.5.7638.2 (This is the same on our exchange 2003 servers)
BES Version: 4.0.5.11 for Exchange

Thanksin advance

Did you ever figure out the problem? I am having the same issues as you. Calhelper will crash. It does not crash as frequently as yours did, but it does it about every 10 to 12 hours. I have to reboot the server every day.

Well close to it,

It turned out that timezone information was not being entered on some re-occuring calender entries.

Still waiting for a fix!!
