Default Email Adress Migration

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

My Company is planning to an email adress migration.
Our head office has Exchange users with an email adress named ..@email.com, also the active directory domains are not linked to each other.
The remote office now had their own email adresses named ..@bmail.com, and their own blackberry server.

We want to place two exchange hub servers in the remote office, 1 in our domain and one in their domain build with a trust between the two domains.

The BES in the remote office which now has about 41 users, needs to be able to communicate with the migrated email adress (..@bmail.com)

Are there any of you who experienced something similair before.
If you need more info, please let me know I'm not the most experienced Exchange Administrator, but with the BES I'll do OK.

OK here is how BES for Exchange works..

When you add someone to your BES, it looks at their legacyExchangeDN and stores it in the DB. As long as you dont change that (which you can only do via programming or a low level editor like ADSI-Edit) then it doesnt matter what their e-mail address is.

Whatever Exchange sets as the primary SMTP address (the attribute in the 'mail' field), that will be used by the BES.
