Default Problem adding 2 users to BES 4 (SP6)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi - question for the BES guru's. I'm really stuck with this one and would greatly appreciate some help.

When I try and add these 2 specific users to our BES I get the following error message...

"Failed to add user to the BlackBerry Server. Unable to open mailbox for user. The user's mailbox may have been deleted."

and an event ID 20000 is logged - "Failed to add user to the BlackBerry Server. Unable to open database for user".

I've had a good look around and haven't come up with anything.

This problem only happens with these 2 users... others are added to the server and are working without a problem.

We have BES 4 (SP6) running on a Windows 2003 server. The database is hosted on SQL 2005 on the same server. The mail server is also Windows 2003 server running Exchange 2003 with latest service pack and updates.

As i said the problem seems to be only effecting these 2 users. i've checked permissions for the accounts in exchange and cant see any difference to a working account. - the only thing i can think of is deleting their user accounts and starting from scratch - but hopefully this wont be necessary.

any ideas?

thanks.

It really sounds like an exchange mailbox corruption issue. I've had issues before similar. I think you did the right thing.

I agree with Logvin, it's not that common but I've had the same thing as a result of corrupt mailboxes.
