How do i add a user in 4.1 wirelessly. I selected their name from the address book and click add but the status doesnt change from initializing--where do i go to put in the pin number ? Also, can i migrate a user from a 2.2 server to a new 4.0 machine i set up without having the physical device? if so, how?

I am not sure what is the problem you have met.

You can add a new user on Bes server 4.XX,
After it is added, the user status is initilzing.
so you have to set his/her active password.

On the handheld, go to option and select Enterprise activation.
input password and email address, it will go throught by air to activate your handheld user

In the bes where you added the user, right click the user and select properties. You will see a button that says (and by the way, buttons don't really talk) "set activation password" Be sure to click the button that says "apply password". Then on the blackberry go to options, advanced options enterprise activation. enter the email and password you setup in the blackberry mgr on the bes, and away she goes....
If the blackberry has never been activated, usually the icon on the upper left of the screen will also activate the user on the bes.

you don't need a cable. you don't need to configure the pin. it all happens for you during the wireless activation process.
