Hope this has not been hashed through before but I am in the process of quitting Verizon and going T- Mobile and have 2 choices I dont know much about either phone and it 30 bucks difference in cost so which has a better operation?

Thanks for the replies. I have been trying to see if any bugs are in either phone. Sometimes new models are not as good as old til 2nd generation rolls around I have found.

Both are fairly new models, but well beyond the early vetting period when you typically find out if the device has flaws/problems.

Before you make the jump, make sure TMO has the coverage when and where you need it - where you live, work, travel and play. Their network isn't as large nor as robust as that of Verizon. Just make sure you do the homework. Otherwise, you might regret the switch.

I know Verizon has THE network covered. I am paying about 100 bucks a month more for that and in our (family) travels 85 % of the time is around the Bay area . So T-Mobile would work just fine. The 15% when I am in the woods hunting I am screwed. T-Mobile does not cover the areas I go into. For the 100 bucks and the loss of service in the woods ,I think we may well go with T-Mobile.

Hi, When in the woods buy a pay as you go Cell telephone from a provider that has coverage in that area, this will not cost to much and you can always reload the minutes on the cell and also nice backup in an emergency situation.

I probably would have gone for the 9700 if it weren't for two things, the price difference at the time was 200 bucks and the Lavender 8520 won my heart. I still love my little BlackBerry though, it's still a great device for me.
