Hiya All

just upgraded to 9700 handset. great. apart from the SMS screen.

it looks like a 'chat' client. so when i SEND an sms the reply comes back underneath. then if i send a new sms to the same contact days later, it appears UNDER the ORIGINAL message, even though it may be totally unrelated.

this is really annoying ..

anybody got any bright ideas please - have checked the good ole Options, but cant seem to see anything that would change it.

Nope, no option to change it.

Try crunchSMS from AppWorld. Gives you an iPhone looking threaded SMS interface. Deleting a conversation will remove the history.

This seems to be a common question on this site. I am surprised no one developed a 3rd party app as an alternative

I actually quite like threaded SMS. Was a welcome change from my 8703e.

I like it as well but several users prefer the prior method. I do think there should be options on this which we may see in a future OS. I don't know.

No option to change that unfortunately! I hate it so much! I prefer an ancient nokia phone's SMS interface than the BlackBerry's :(
