using the 9700 with the AT&T stock OS. The pictures load up very very slowly just the way my previous Bold 9000...whats the best OS with faster picture loading, best battery life and that STILL has the lock/keypad icon?? please help

I'm assuming you're referring to the owner information displaying when locked. If so, .602 is the latest one I know of to have that bug/feature (which I also happen to love).

However, if someone knows of a different version, please, by all means, speak up!

actually, im referring to keypad lock icon that was on the earlier OS's that needs the * CALL buttons to unlock...

.602 has the older locking style you want. but the picture thumbnails still load slowly. i would recommend just upgrading to the newest OS available. (.862) pictures load really fast. (as they do in every OS other than ATT approved) but you will be getting the newer locking function. its not that big of a deal. you will get used to it.

Then again, I hope the OS6 for the 9700 is just around the corner - with WebKit.
