BB Bold on VZW?

since im currently hooked up with a vzw family contract with my family, i cannot switch carriers. I was really excited for this new BB storm release but from what i am hearing, its a real letdown. I will be going to my local store today to test it out but, id love to have a phone to fallback on. I am however in a desperate need for a new phone. I have heard that the BB bold, which seems to be getting better reviews will eventually come to VZW, can anyone give me any info on aprox. when they will make the merger?
