Default [7100v] Low battery capacity

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

Last week I bought a new BB 7100v. I like the BB very much, but I am not satisfied with the capacity of the battery. At normal use the status of the battery is almost zero within one work day!

Is this normal?

Doesn't sound normal at all. I would call the companys tech support from whoever you bought it.

My 7100T battery doesn't last long but its not that bad.

Normal use? What the heck is "normal"??? 2 hours of voice calls and an hour or 2 of games could be normal for you and this will likely drain the battery in 1 day. Please detail your normal usage in one day and then we'll see if we can get you some feedback

Hmmmm. How much total powered-on time for the e-mail reading/sending? If less than 20 or 30 minutes, this sounds really weak to me. How is your signal strength? If your signal strength is really weak, this can contribute to battery drain. Also, if you have not already, try turning your backlight intensity down.

My 7100v initially had bad battery life, but I found that after turning the brightness down on the screen and after a month or two the battery seemed to last a lot longer. Didn't think that was supposed to be the case, but appeared to work for me.

i just bought a "new" battery on ebay and my 7100R only seems to last 2 days...is that normal? I bought the battery to try to extend my 1.5 day battery life to closer to the 4 days promised...i don't use my BB THAT much!

There is a nice extended battery for the 7100t. I dont know if it will work on the 7100r but it gives me a good 2 full days of medium to heavy use. Its the one that comes with a new battery door.
