im not sure if 3 is CDMA or GSM, but if it is CDMA, you will need a MSL code from Verizon to get it to work. Good Luck with that... they hate to give those away (if they ever do anymore)

if it is GSM, you can get it unlocked (like you say it is) and pop in your sim and it should work.

3 is GSM

It may not work as specified, as 3 don't support the Tour, and you will need the blackberry data plan/add-on they offer on your account.

Hi Thanks guys. I can confirm three have already added a data plan and i have the blackberry internet add on. 3 said i need to get verizon to de register the phone from RIM or something? Is this right or are they passing the buck? I have the phone working for phone calls. Just dont have the blackberrys service. All the help is REALLY APPRECIATED since i spent a small fortune buyingthe phone. What is gsm and cdma. I would have thought that as the phone is unlocked and it is 3g it would be fine with 3?

Contact the seller and have them call Verizon. Until the PIN is released by Verizon, no e-mail...

BlackBerrys are different. They need a special data plan and the PIN can only be registered on one carrier at a time.

GSM and CDMA are two different radio network designs. The Tour has both, but will not ever have 3G (fastest) speeds when on a GSM network. 3 is a GSM network.

If it was new in box, the PIN shouldn't be registered.
I doubt that Verizon would talk to you, or the seller, being that they are not customers of Verizon's.

You could try calling them, its gonna be an international call and cost you alot, but there you go.
