Hi,

I've been looking around on the web and in these forums but can't find anything that seems to work. I've had a few different LG phones in the past four years. They all have a talking caller id and text read out which means when I get a call from so-and-so it says "Call from so-and-so, call from so and so." When I get a text it reads out the text so I don't have to look at my phone. Both these features are just lovely when I'm sleeping...ya hear who's calling without having to pick up the phone to look at it...hear the text without having look.

I read in other threads you can record a sound clip and set it as a ring tone. I tried it and that works. I asked my (long-distance) boyfriend to record something maybe like "Yo! It's Peezy!" and send it to me but he thinks it's cheesy...maybe it is? Dunno.

Anyone one know of an application that does what I want? If so, please tell me how to get it on my phone!

I found HollerID Nametones on the Blackberry site. Anyone have experience with this app?

Not to sure,but look around thru blackberryappworld.com, u will need to download the appworld app, but there r a lot of things there. If not, let me know, I will send u the voice recording u want and u can use that as the caller id. also look around on crackberry.com they have some cool stuff sometimes. looked thru both sites and they pretty much have the same apps. hollerID nametones is the only one that sounds close to what i'm looking for but i still don't think it is it. i resorted to recording voice notes and assigning them. i suck and sound retarded but it'll work for now. contemplating returning my tour and going back to the enV3....*sigh....
