Default Apple Airport and 8820

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my 8820 and tried connecting it to my Apple Airport wireless base station. It does not want to connect. I have WEP turned on, but tried with it turned off and still no go. Has anyone been able to get their 8820 working with Apple Airport Base Station? It is an ancient 802.11b base station, one of the original ones. Maybe just being so old there is a problem. Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm not familiar with the Apple Airport routers other than there are issues with them and the wifi BB's. I would check to make sure that the firmware is up to date.

Also, can you be a little more specific in just what happens when you try to connect to it?

It tries to connect but for some reason does not find the network. Even with WEP turned off and my base station broadcasting it does not appear to find it when scanning for networks.

Thanks

if for some reason it does find it, the password is not the same for blackberry as it is on your mac

you must go into the airport utility and find "find equivalent password" it then generates a very long string of letters and numbers
