I have a charging pod for my Perl 8100. Sales literature states that I can use my USB cable to connect and charge & sync with my computer. It charges but does not sync.

Charge + Sync works just fine when plugging directly into the Perl with the same cable.

I have tried changing cables -- still doesnt' work.

Any ideas??

I don't have any experience with charging pods, but I'm guessing from looking at my 8820 that a pod would only charge, and that to sync one would have to unplug the usb cable from the pod and plug the cable into the usb port on the blackberry. Is that what you are talking about?

Yes that is what I'm talking about and ...that sucks.... I assumed it would be able to sync and power up via cradle.
