Default white screen with large crossed battery - help

Please Login to Remove!

hi, I just bought an extended battery for my 8100 - I was hoping to extend the operating time of my BB.

with the standard battery everything works, but when I insert this extended baterry, the red led stays on for about 5 secs, then the screen goes white and only a large battery is displayed which is crossed by a red line.

anyone solved this yet?

i have tryed usb, car and wall chargers. same result

I am being told now that the battery has been not used for 4 months.

Any ideas how to jump start it?

Charge the battery (in the BB) for a few hours before trying to use it.

BatteryBooster is a 3rd party app that is designed to add life to your battery. It has gotten mixed reviews, and will do you no good unless you can get your battery fully charged. Charging it in the BalckBerry for several hours is the logical next step.

So is the battery actually charging while the crossed battery is displayed on the white screen?
