I've been using the Theme Builder and have resized all of my backgrounds to 320x240 and the file sizes are well below 60kb, but I am still getting the following errors when I export...

Warning: The following resources could not be included in the theme for reasons explained below:
Dialog Background
Phone Incoming Call Background

Warning: Dialog Background: Resource is bigger than 60 kb.
Warning: Phone Incoming Call Background: Resource is bigger than 60 kb.

Can any of you assist?

Default My themes...

Here are some themese that I whipped up. I won't know if they work 100% until I get my 8700c tomorrow afternoon. In the meanwhile I've decided to take some screen captures.

Let me know your thoughts. I've stumbled upon some cool icon websites... but I'm lacking any good backgrounds. Anyone care to help?

YO, Moderators! We should have a sticky or a separate forum for themes, so that people can post about themes and upload themes as well - like the PDA folks do!

Really like some of those themes, keep us informed if you make them available. Can't stand the ones pre-loaded.

I have two questions and I'm hoping someone can help me out:

1. Is there a way to reposition the icons for things like the signal or battery meter? It seems that you are stuck with them in a specific position and have to design around them.

2. Is there a way to extract a theme from the 8700c so that it can be edited in the theme maker? I would like to start with the Cingular theme as my base and design around that, but the theme maker does not have it available.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think either of these options are available in the current version of theme builder, maybe in the future. BTW, have you searched the new Theme and Ringtone Folder? There's a lot of information about Themes there.

Hope this helps.

To the MODs, you might want to move this thread to the new forum. I think it was started before that forum existed.

Sorry, I searched under "Themes 8700" and this is the thread that came up. I'll either repost this in the other thread or monitor that one for an answer.

Thanks.

Man, I gotta take my hat off to you guys. I thought of doing a Star Wars Revenge of The Sith theme, with the Deathstar as the background. Well... I had no problem using the theme building software. But I found out that I have no artistic boone in my body.
Some of these themes you guys come up with are AWESOME!!

Great Job!

Any way to modify the new downloadable Themes using the theme tool? I like the "Overlord-Icon" theme, but I would rather have different icons. The default icons grey out when not highlighted. The issue is, 3rd party icons don't. So it looks pretty silly.
