Please Login to Remove!

Dear Blackberry users,

Today SHAPE Services starts beta-testing of xPlayer v.1.7.
xPlayer is a multimedia player with Live Radio and Podcasts support.

New functionality: subscription to podcasts using Blackberry Push technology.
Blackberry Push works only via BIS connection. We would like to test this functionality with large variety of wireless carriers.

You may download beta version from our Web-site:
Mobiola xPlayer :: BlackBerry :: Download
or directly to your Blackberry on our WAP-site:
wap.shapeservices.com/xplayer-beta

You may post your comment here or send them using "Help" / "Feedback" menu in xPlayer.
When posting your comments on forum, please specify your Blackberry model and wireless carrier.

As usual, active beta-testers will be awarded with free license codes.

I am a huge fan of shapeservices and the xplayer. This is my #1 favorite app for the blackberry, it allows me to add any internet radio station and also has pre-loaded stations. BEST OF ALL IT WORKS ON BIS CONNECTION!!!!

Why can't other app developers make there applications work via BIS or TCP/APN. My CARRIER charges extra for using APN and xplayer is the ONLY player that allows me to use via BIS.

PROPS!

I will definately be trying the beta of the new xplayer.

Default Trouble with xPlayer 1.7.0.13

I loaded the beta via OTA and the desktop Loader application. Isn't this application taking advantage of the touchscreen on the Storm? The keyboard is on screen and in portrait mode at all times. I have a feeling that I might be having issues with OS 5.0 compatibility. I'm running 5.0.0.230 on a Storm 9530 on Verizon.

Sorry, we cannot gurantee that xPlayer will work properly with 5.0 beta OS.
When official OS is released, there will be fully compatible version.

At the moment please make sure that you have installed the most compatible version.

I found that going to the options - applications menu and turning off compatibility mode fixed my issue.

I remember the original xPlayer beta about a year ago, was a very decent program glad to see it's being updated.

Might give this beta another shot

Dear xPlayer users, could you please post some feedback on Blackberry Push feature?
How does it work for you? Is the podcasts' list updated properly?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks for help.

Wirelessly posted

I just downloaded this OTA. When I tried to use it, it asks to view the permissions. When I do, I save "allow" to all, it says it will apply them and that the app will now close. When I try to use it again, it takes me through all that again.
What is causing this? I did a batt pull too.

I've installed xPlayer 1.7.1 today on my BlackBerry Bold 9700, it works perfect with online streams but when I recieve a phone call or when I start a phone call the xPlayer pops up after the call is disconnected...? Is this a setting or because of the 5.0 OS?
