When I go to About, I have 4.2.2.14 (April 26 2007) loaded right now, but saw in the sticky thread above about the newest OS that the one on TMO's website is NOT the latest (they also list the one I have) and to get it from RIM before upgrading your OS.

So when I go to RIM's site, all it says is 4.2 SP 2 is the latest, but doesn't give the specific version. It says "Date posted: 18-May-07". Is that the same as what I have now? I don't want to bother uninstalling what I have, and to reinstall this one only to find out it's the same!

Yes, that's the latest. At the time the sticky was written it's likely that TMo didn't have the latest. They do now. 4.2.2.14 is the one.
