Default URGENT--Trackwheel stopped clicking-in

Please Login to Remove!

Trackwheel suddenly won't click 'in'---I can't click on anything! It will roll however.

Thjis is very urgent I have a large 3-day function at work this weekend for which I need access to email, texts, and phone book!!!! Can someone offer some advice for a quick-fix to trackwheel problem?

Thanks,

I'm a little confused to what model you have, trackwheel, 8100e...

If you have a trackball (the one in the center of the device 81xx,83xx,88xx) Problems with it can usually be freed up by doing the following:

Turn the device off (stops you from clicking on things while doing it)
Press Down hard on the trackball and roll it around in all directions while holding it down.

This usually frees up anything in it that is stopping it from working correctly.

He said track wheel so ill assume 8700 7100 or 7200 series

It is a physical problem and requires physical replacement of trackwheel! It can be done I've done it for my 8700 and a couple friends 7290s

As a workaround, you can use the enter key.
