The 7100g, 7100t, 7100v, 7105t, 7130c, and 7130g are all GSM devices that work in Europe, but not on Verizon CDMA. The 7130e is a CDMA device that works on Verizon CDMA, but not in Europe.
The 8830 and 9530 both work on Verizon CDMA and European GSM networks. The 9530 also happens to work on North American GSM networks.

Yes, you will need to add a BlackBerry data plan. Verizon normally activates this for you automatically. Additionally, you will need to have the SIM card for your device provisioned and international roaming activated on your account.
Calling and using the data features on your phone in Europe will cost you a significant amount of money extra.
