Default New Horizon Device and 4.0

Will the new upcoming Horizon device somehow be more "adept" at handling the 4.0 OS, as opposed to the current crop of Berries?

Sorry people. I meant the Verizon 7290. Will the 7290 be more adept at handling the 4.0 OS? When will it come out?

That's funny, Verizon doesn't support GSM which the 7290 uses? Where did you hear that Verizon will be using the 7290? Verizon supports CDMA which the -50 suffixed BlackBerry uses, while the -10, -30, -80 and -90 suffixed BlackBerry uses GSM.

Either way, the 7290 will be more adept at the 4.0 operating system due to its extra memory.

Is the 7290 going to come with the 4.0 operating system?

No, it will have 3.7.xxx OS and as far as I know Cingular will be releasing them first.

Nah, 3.8 like the charms since its a new quadband device just like them.

As far as who is releasing it first, it could only be att or cingular in the states since tmo are commited to "charming" their customers before xmas.

In the long run, the 7290 is going to be the premium product above the 7230 in the range for almost all carriers and I wouldn't be surprised to see the 6230 squeezed out by the 7230 moving down to the entry level offering with those carriers that offer both.

I'm wondering if it'll be the same 3.8OS as on Charm though... I know they're probably hardware identical, (the innards at least), but Charm is geared more towards looking "cute" for the individual, while I like the format and look of 3.7...

Who know...
