Default Calling all shortcut guru's...

Please Login to Remove!

When I want to delete multiple messages, currently I find the first one, hold down the shift key, jog through to the last and delete. using this method is slow, especially if you are going through a lot of messages.

What I want to do is select the first message, scoll to the last message, hit some magic button combo to be able to select everything in between and delete.

I have not found the key combo, anyone else?

Thanks.

When you select an email to delete and you push in the trackwheel, you get an option that says "Delete Prior" it will delete everything prior to that date.

Default Highlight a date

Use the 4 key to navigate down the message list by date and the 6 key to navigate up. Delete prior will delete all items prior to that date. You can use a search to limit the items and then delete by date.

Here are other message list shortcuts:

Message Shortcuts
When in list of messages:
• 5 or Return key= open message
• Delete/backspace = delete message
• 1=top of messages (most recent) (also works when viewing a single message)
• 7=bottom of messages (least recent) (also works when viewing a single message)
• 2=up one message
• 8=down one message
• 4=previous day in list or prior open message
• 6=next day in list or next open message
• 3=page up (also works when viewing message)
• 9 or space key=page down (also works when viewing message)
• Asterisk key(*) = closest unread message
• Next=oldest unread message
• To delete old messages, select a date in the message list and click the Trackwheel for Delete Prior to delete all prior messages ( I use this often with phone filter below).

When highlighted on a message in mailbox OR in a open message:
• Exclamation point (!) QW key = reply to
• Question mark (?) AS key = reply to and includes yourself
• Period (.) OP= forward message to
• Comma Key(,) L=New blank message/call
When highlighted on a day in mailbox:
• Return=allows you to filter out a specific address

Filters for mailbox list:
• Alt key + ? (AS) = Filters just SMS messages
• Alt key + 7 (CV) = Filters just Voicemail messages
• Alt key + 9 (M) = Filters just MMS messages
• Alt key + period (OP) = Filters just Phone Calls
• Alt key + 3 (UI) = Filters just Incoming Email messages (includes PIN)
After my upgrade to 4.0 I found a really cool Search tool. You can save and edit searches. I had to reprogram some of the ones above. From the message list, click and select search. The search screen comes up, click again and choose Recall. From there you can edit searches and assign your own ALT + shortcut key.

Question PIN messages- where'd they go

I'm trying to see if there's a short cut for PIN messages. I have my 7130c set up so that "sent" messages are hidden on the Messages screeen. I noticed that when you do "View Folders", none of the folders listed contains the sent PIN messages- so where'd they go?

I can't seem to view my PIN sent messages like I can with all the others (Email, SMS, MMS) from the folders view. I tried making a shortcut for viewing them and there's no option for PIN messages fodlers their either???
