When you miss a call, does the 8100 have some kind of notification. I have my profile set to repeat notification - LED flashing, thinking that was some kind of missed call reminder, but that doesn't seem to work.

You can get a visual reminder with some themes. I have my phone set to say "There is a message for you" like HAL from 2001 every time I get a message, of any kind.

I think I know what you mean and no, the Pearl won't remind you. You get a call, you don't answer, they don't leave a message, there's no visual or audible indicator that remains telling you that you got a call.

The same is almost true for messages. You can the LED notification for a short period of time but after that, nothing. You have to turn on the screen to see that you have missed something.

There are two programs: Notifier and Message Alerts that are supposed to address this issue. I haven't taken the time to fully try them yet. Do a search.

It's very odd that the Pearl doesn't do this.

Um there is a missed call icon that shows up if you miss a call.... its a little pic of a phone with a slash through it also the phone app gets a little red star in the corner of it when you have a missed call unless i missunderstood the question..

I have used missed call notifyer on my 8700 and it worked well. What it does is emits a tone (you can customize) if you miss a call for a period of time. However, it only works for missed phone calls and will not work for missed text messages, etc. Have not tried missed call notifyer yet on my 8100 might try it soon though.

Agree with earlier post, my razr used to emit a tone for missed call or message, miss that, wish the BB had that built it like the razr did.

I'm using a BB Today theme which shows everything that goes on including missed call. My question would be is there anyway to get RID of the irritating pop up that says "You have one missed call" or "You have a new voicemail waiting" and then there's the option to click NO or SAVE ? Much appreciated...
