I switched to Ubuntu 6.1 (Edgy) and I am in looooooove. I feel that within a month's time, I will no longer need to revert back to my Windows dual boot because everything I need will be working on my Ubuntu. Just the scanning and a few other things are holding me hostage to Windows right now.

I just put Suse 10.2 over Ubuntu 6.06... I don't like Suse in Gnome mode so I am gonna try the KDE version and see... In the end I am sure I will be back on Ubuntu...

The more i play with Suse 10.2 the more I like it! The new Gnome menu is awesome! Think I will stick with it for a while and see.... RPM and Yast.... YUCK! But, I really like the Suse Gnome look!

Edubuntu rocks!

My munchkin is/has been using FreeBSD on his desktop for about a year now but he is 14..... Depending on the age of your munchkin Edubuntu might be a good choice.... I have not had windows in about 3 years.... My munchkin has to use it a school and he is lost.... The kids look at him like he is nuts when he says he is using Unix.... (He on BSD)

I have been using Ubuntu since Breezy BUT have to say I am very impressed with Suse 10.2.....

If their resources and $$$ were unlimited, they could do both. But of course, that's not true for ANY company, so EVERY company sets priorities. And its just real difficult to justify throwing much resources and $$$ at something that represents, based on the stats that a quick google search revealed - about 2% of the desktop market.

Now if you're asking them to support BES on a Linux server, that makes a WHOLE lot more sense, because the Linux marketshare on servers is quite significant. (Do they support BES on Linux now? I don't even know.)
