I hope you can help. I have been working with RIM on this for days. Sometimes when I get an email, read it, delete it, the yellow icon still shows that I have mail even though I have no email in my email accounts. Sometimes it shows in the message box that I have email but when I open the folder there is no mail as well as in the three email accounts. We have tried taking out the battery, that clears it anywhere from one hour to 24 hours then the icon comes back. We have tried several things including uninstalling and reinstalling the software. The first RIM 9070 had multiple issues so I returned that phone, but when they gave me the current phone they transferred all data. The RIM people uninstalled the software and reloaded it which should have fixed the problem but in two days the icon came back, showing I had 1 unread email. By the time I spoke to RIM today on the phone, there was a 7 next to the yellow icon. I have sent logs and send a back up as well but so far no solution, has anyone else experienced this and if so how did you correct it? RIM and ATT tell me it's nothing I am doing wrong. They both also said that taking out the battery should fix it and certainly unloading the software and reinstalling it should fix it. I am still working with them but if anyone out there knows of a fix, please let me know!
