in regards to Email. When I open my email, one of the options in the menu is "Reconcile." I had a couple emails (already opened), selected "reconcile" and nothing seemed to happen. Help please ? (BB Curve 8330)

If things seem out of sync, Reconcile now will perform a manual sync of your content.

Actually with BIS 2.6 reconcile seems to be working somewhat for us BIS users as well. With Reconcile running, I find that if I hit the "Delete from Handheld and Server", if that message has not been downloaded to my PC email client, then it is deleted from the server. Also, I am not real sure if this is the true meaning of Reconcile, but to me it is doing some of that since it deletes what I want deleted.

It doesn't mark mail as read as it does on BES however.

Agreed, but with GMail/Yahoo IMAP setup Read messages on the BB are marked as read in the web mail interface, but that about it.

I understood that BIS 2.6 did something with both Yahoo and Gmail, but since I don't use either, I couldn't verify or comment on if or how it works. Thanks for adding the clarification.

It's possible your messages were already reconciled and there were no new messages to be had.

Depends on whether you're on BIS or BES and what type of email account you have integrated with BIS.

With POP accounts on BIS the answer is: nothing.
With other accounts, it forces whatever reconciliation is supported by your setup.
