Question micro SD card

Please Login to Remove!

Does it matter what brand micro SD card I buy for my Curve 8330? The one I have now is less than 1 GB and woefully small for media storage. Thanks.

I have 8G in mine and its noname, I hear 16G is supported as well, but I think you need to have a certain version of OS on your device first. When I bought mine, I opened the pack at the counter after paying for it, put it in, went to options->media card and see if it recognizes the size at the bottom. then walk away.

I've actually grown fond of PNY been using their memory for years, never had a reason to try anything else... Kind of going with the motto if it isn't broke don't fix it.

But memory is a pretty stable thing these days, get what you can get for the best price.

In the past month, I've gotten stuck with two bad microSDHC 8 GB cards. The first one was a Transcend, and the second was a SanDisk. NewEgg gave me an immediate refund on the Transcend card. I had to ship the SanDisk card back to HiTech Vendors - they are going to test it to see if I am telling the truth, and then issue a refund or replacement.

I've gotten my Media Card from NewEgg, got PNY from them never had a problem.. and I find NewEgg's prices to be the best for small media.
