Default Nuked BB Help Please

Please Login to Remove!

Ok so I have a "nuked bb" as you all would say, and I understand how to reinstall the OS for the most part but the problem I am having is I cannot connect my phone to the comp via USB because it wont stay connect, I hear the connect and dissconnect sound every 2 seconds. How In the world can I keep this bad boy connected? I am not trying to repost I know a lot of other people have this problem but I couldnt find specific enough instructions. Thanks all.

yepp follow that guide it works FANTASTIC from personal experience.

if you turn off your phone, then connect it, it connects from there and allows u to follow the guide

if it still doesnt connect, it mmay be an issue with your usb connector or maybe just the cord

You may not be able to do so, if your device has been 'nuked', as you say.

Disconnected from the USB--Will it not turn on? If you remove the battery and hold 30 seconds, replace the battery -- will the BB reboot? What happens.

You likely won't be able to backup either via USB or BT, then. Sorry.

I hope you already had a backup or have synced with Outlook in the past.

Good... you will want to move the most recent backup file (*.ipd) from that computer to the new, making note of where you place the IPD file so that you can navigate to it once you have wiped the device and reloaded the OS.

I also have a Curve 8310 which is apparently nuked while upgrading to v.4.5. All I have is the white screen with hourglass, black screen, red led, over and over and over. Have followed steps of Lesson 12 without success. Have tried JL_Cmdr but it won't wipe. Tried AppLoader from directory to no avail. Have tried CrackMem, nothing. I always get the message Unable to Reconnect During a Multi-Stage Load Operation. Have tried in two computers with different cables, removed memory card and nothing. Am I missing anything? I have been trying all the above for two weeks now. Please help! Thanks.

I have had the same problem, unfortunately, nobody has ever answered this for me. It seems when the subject of everything failing, nobody likes to bring anything up. I have an 8100 Pearl, and it's been dead for a month already, searching the internet always brings up the above steps, but of course, no solutions to the multi stage of death.

Yep, I tried those steps as well. I have tried various articles I have read about not only once but several, and believe me, several times, without success. I know that there must be a way how to get the BB out of this rebooting cycle. Someone out there perhaps has another suggestion/idea. Thanks

fraserjaxx:

I Googled it and it takes me to crackberry: Lesson 12 - Blackberry 101 How to Reload the Operating System on a Nuked BlackBerry, which I have tried dozens of times with no results. It completes the first step, but it always fails on the second step while "waiting for device initialization." At that point the phone starts the rebooting cycle and the screen with the multi-stage error pops up in the PC.

Have tried to downgrade it, but cannot even get it wiped. JL_Cder simply won't do it. CrackMem and AppLoader end up with the multi-stage error screen.

It was starting the process with no battery in and then putting the battery in before the second step that got me through the 'waiting for device initialization' section. If I left the battery out it failed.
Hope you get it sorted fella,I know how frustrating it is.
