Default When connecting my BB it adds a Drive but it says it needs a disk.

Hello.

I hope I don't ask the obvious but I've been searching the forum for a while now and I can't seem to find anything that compares to my problem.

I have recently updated my OS and I now have the following problem. When I connect my BB to my computer by the USB cable, a new driveletter is maped in windows but when I click it, it says it's empty. It asks me to enter a disk, just like a CD-rom drive.

My OS is 4.5.0.108 (Platform 2.7.0.89) with Windows XP SP2 on PC.

Desktop Manager Version 4.7.0.37

My Media Card Settings are:
Media Card Support: On
Encryption Mode: None
Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: On.

I have tried al type of different settings but no difference. On my PC I have tried mapping my BB to different Drive Letters and I have uninstalled the RIM BlackBerry SD USB Device so that it is reinstalled, but again, no difference.

Can anybody help me out? What am I missing?

Again, sorry for asking the obvious. I'm kinda new to the BB world.

Greets!

Edited: By the way, I have a media card in my BB, in case someone is wondering

Nice job providing context. Is the card formatted, and is it really empty?

It's a small media card that came with the phone. It's 128mb and when I look at the media card settings it sais:

Total Space: 120.8MB
Free Space: 104.5MB

So no, it's not empty. I have two MP3 songs and a few pictures on the card. Is this a problem? If so, I can send the pictures I want to keep to my pc by Bluetooth and format the card. No problem.

Can the card be formated from within the phone? If not, I will have to buy an adapter and do it from my PC card reader.

Thanks for the fast reply!
