I tested the application and while it is nice, $30 or even $20 is not worth it just to see a picture of who is calling. It is worth more on par of $9 I would say.

I just downloaded the trial version and I can not get the image to come up when my phone is locked with no password. It is the latest 1.10 version and I thought that was an included feature. I do have the option checked that allows this. Anyone else have this same problem?

Actually it does not even work at all it just changed my ringer profile. That is wierd.

Ah, the program does not recognize a name Prefix so it thinks it is someone else. That is a disappointing glitch.

Two bugs in two days LOL. If you have a bluetooth device such as a car kit, when you pick up the call from your car for example that call picks up but the program still rings.

I wonder if that means that we just to wait for an OS update, unless RIM thinks we don't need it since we don't have cameras on our BBs.

I like this program A LOT. I'm hoping something like this is included with the new Blackberrys. I personally would love to see integration with the regular Blackberry sound profile though.

Well folks, this little app seems to be a lot of fun. But after emailing the guy that made it, I think I have decided to just wait until the actualy Blackberry update comes out. I received an email from the maker and he is not willing to give out multi licenses for this product. Both my wife and I have the 7100i and he wants me to spend $60 bucks for this app. In my opinion that is waaaaaayyyy to much cash to spend just to hear some ring tones. So i will pass.

i just got phonepix trial and when i go to open the program on my phone it says:

error starting phonepix: class net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.homescreen. not found

I tried this out and was very excited at the idea of having this.

I had a coworker called me and no luck getting it to work at all. I read through the instructions several times, and still no luck (after making slight changes).

Suddenly, after work, my girlfriend calls and it is fine. It is very cool. I have my brother call me: No good.

Troubleshooting this over the weekend, the only difference is that my girlfriend is listed in my contacts as a first name only. I take out my brother's last name and call from his phone, it works beautifully. If I put his last name in, it does not work.

That strikes me as odd.

I really hope that the 4.2 OS will enable this for the 8703e. This is the biggest thing I missed when I switched to a BlackBerry last year. This app seemed attractive before its shortcomings and the potential of 4.2.

Anyone know if the author actually figured out how to turn on .wav support for the 7100i - I went back to the website and it shows that it is supported however last time I tried to use the demo of the software .wav would not work due to the software limitation of the blackberry 7100i out of the box.

Any thoughts?

This new version of the software does actually get the .wav support to work on the 7100i

This is great - but the price point is unrulely..

what I need to know is how to get into the blackberry or even manually load files into folders of the blackberry.

The blackberry has folders inside of itself home/user/ringtones if I can find a way to load a file into that folder via usb - we can load .wav ringtones into the 7100i

Any thoughts out there?
