Does anyone know of a flashlight program that uses the camera flash/camcorder light instead of making the backlight all white or the LED on the front of the phone?

I have read article after article about how you can go into camcorder and make it so the light is on at all time.. but it times out after 30 seconds or so and you have to press button and its sort of a pain in the "donkey" so I wanted to know if anyone knew of an application that did this..

of if someone could help me make one.. Something that would maybe have a black screen and turns on the light..

maybe I am just dreaming and nothing like this can ever happen.. but I thought I would throw it out there.

As far as I know, all of the current flashlight apps only use the screen and not the LED camera light

BLight is supposed to use the status LED.
I've never used it, so I can't vouch for it.

Status led as in the one that blinks red/green/blue? I don't think that would be bright enough..

Agreed that something that used the camera light would be really nice.

you have a bold? turn on the video camera and the flash light comes on steady. very bright!!!!! what more could you want?

if it times out change the screen timeout time in options > screen/keyboard
