Ok so i bought my blackberry torch yesturday. it is a unlocked version from rim. So i have been having some wifi problems. First of all my phone doesn't have the connection preference thing in mobile network options. Ok so basically i would be at home and try to use wifi. but it would say im using mobile network. but i currently do not have a data plan. if i take off the mobile network while my wifi is still connected it says nothing. why doesn't my phone use the wifi? i want it to be wifi preferred but i don't know how to do this! HELP PLEASE!

You need a data plan.

Also, device OS version 6.0 does not have "WiFi preferred" as an option.

Well, actually it does. But the option is in reference to voice traffic if UMA is supported by the carrier on the device. You're right in that it doesn't have a way of specifically indicating a browser transport preference.

Yeah, what I should have said is that the BlackBerry Browser doesn't have that option. Thanks for adding the clarification.
