Default blackberry 9700 keyboard backlighting

Please Login to Remove!

hope someone can help!!!

when i boot up my blackberry after doing a battery pull while its booting the keyboard back lighting lights up as it loads,but once the phone is done booting up and its fully on and functional the keyboard lights go off and never comes back on again. even when I'm typing in the dark the keyboard lights doesn't come on at all. its really frustrating as i cant see the keyboard.

I have read mention of changing the backlight setting in options, saving, and then resetting has solved this for some. Try it. It might also be some corruption with the software, maybe, don't know. Or it may be a faulty sensor.

If changing the setting doesn't work, I would try reloading the OS and testing before you reloaded any apps. If it works, great. If it doesn't work, I would assume the sensor is bad.

I've tried the settting,options method and it hasn't worked.,I'll do a software re-installation later and see if that works...thanks

What would be the best way to do the software reinstallation?..,so that my phone is completeley cleared and fresh software wise?...please advise...
